Originally founded in 1979 by Roger Dial as Nova Scotia’s first farm winery, Domaine de Grand Pré has become a family-owned and operated winery built on love and passion for Nova Scotia and exceptional wine and food. Current owner Hanspeter Stutz purchased the winery in 1994, trusting that something special could be established, and with a dream to grow the Nova Scotia wine industry. Hanspeter’s original vision was to create a world-class destination while building a future with his family. The winery was reopened to the public in 2000, after six years of thoughtful renovations. We’ve been welcoming visitors and delivering a Nova Scotia wine experience like none other ever since.
